Registration for 2014 will open in January.
The Victoria UrbaCity Challenge is a strategic urban adventure race, an amazing race-like event, that tests your body and brain!
Take the team challenge that puts your mind and body to the test through downtown Victoria. In June, racers will have an opportunity to test their problem-solving, teamwork, and fitness while having an amazing time during the Victoria UrbaCity Challenge. Families are encouraged to participate. All levels of fitness can take part.
WHAT IS "URBACITY"?
UrbaCity means "extreme pride in your city". It is a real word! Read up on the history of UrbaCity in the About section.
Teams of two compete using directional clues and numerous checkpoints and challenge stations throughout downtown Victoria. The team with the maximum points within the 4 hour time limit will be the winner! Teams will gain points from navigating the route and finding the checkpoints. Checkpoints can be visited in any order. At many checkpoints there will be challenges. By accomplishing a challenge a team can earn valuable bonus points. They can do the challenge or decide to skip it and save precious time - the decision will be the teams! It is all in the strategy!
There are three different race categories: Brawn Zone, Brain Zone, Ultra Racer Zone. Check out Race Info for more descriptions on the categories.
So before signing up for the Amazing Race Canada, why not see if you and your partner have what it takes (and can get along!) by trying out this awesome four hour adventure!

The goal of the event is threefold - put on a great event for participants and their supporters; give businesses the opportunity to be actively engaged in the event; and finally, to raise money for The Prostate Centre. Learn more about The Prostate Centre under The Cause tab.
